Before your adventure
If your booking is at a County/State Park make sure to purchase a parking permit at the gate/office when you arrive. Then look for parking space near the boat trailer parking. Park your car and meet us at the boat launch.
Captain will need to be 21 years of age or older and have a valid drivers license to rent and operate boat.
Waiver form needs to be signed before scheduled start time.
Captain will need a proof of boaters safety at checkout if born on or after July 1, 1996.
10 and under must have a coast guard approved life jacket that fits for their age and size. List age and size at checkout for proper fit.
Guests who are infants, or not strong swimmers, or guests that need special life vests, for safety and proper fit please bring your own.
We provide basic life jackets under seats for everyone else.
We provide a clean iced down 52 quart cooler for your convenience.
Operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited.
Renters are responsible for any damage to boats, and/or loss of equipment. In addition, there will be a cleaning fee assessed for any boat brought back in need of special cleaning.
Renters must notify Newaygo Boat Rentals of defective or non-working equipment.
A refundable security deposit of $500 is required for all rentals.
After your rental we will refuel the boat and deduct the cost of fuel used from your security deposit.
The deposit may be applied to damages or additional charges. If costs exceed the deposit, the renter authorizes Newaygo Boat Rentals to charge the balance to the payment method on file.
Boats burn through fuel quickly, we fill the boats with fuel for your day on the water at a rate that is cheaper than dock fuel so you spend more time boating and less time worrying about gas price.
Boats must be returned by the scheduled return time. Any late check in or late rental returns will have a late fee of 25 dollars per 10 minutes will apply. After 1hr, you will be subject to a full rental time. The schedules are tight and being late may effect the next customer rental time.
No Person other than the renter/captain may operate the rental boat.
Renters must obey all instructions, commands, navigation markers, and all applicable state laws while boating.
Glass bottles of any kind are strictly prohibited on the rental boats. We recommend bringing cans or plastic water bottles.
Dogs are allowed, you must keep them off the seats, any damage from will result in a loss of security deposit.
No cats allowed.
For safety purposes, no boots or hard soled shoes.
Free delivery up to 10 mile radius from Howard City.
For other delivery locations not listed at checkout that are in a radius from Howard City of 10 to 25 miles are subject to only $1.50/mile round trip. If the location is further than 25 miles you will be subject to only $2.50/mile. Example: Howard City — Pickerel Lake Newaygo 21 miles. (42 miles round trip 42x$1.50=$63)
Rentals may be delayed, modified, or canceled due to unsafe weather conditions, including but not limited to dangerous conditions, storms, lightning.
Determination of unsafe conditions will be at the sole discretion of Newaygo Boat Rentals LLC. No refunds will be issued for early returns.
Newaygo Boat Rentals reserves the right to refuse a rental or terminate an existing rental for any reason.
Any and all transportation of you rental can only be done by Newaygo Boat Rentals LLC.
